About

Methodology

My methodology is developing. Currently, I am student-centred, i.e., I make all efforts to place students needs and requests as a top priority. After all, it is their learning journey and experience. While students are sometimes shy to express their wishes or confront my approach, I encourage assertiveness and respectful confrontation. This is how I can improve my understanding of student preferences, evolving needs, likes and dislikes. I strive to deliver a lesson structure based on constructive alignment, i.e. assessments are based on content taught and content taught is based on learning objectives. I endeavour to deliver engaging lessons that facilitate learning. Each week, students receive mini certificates to highlight their ongoing achievements.

I am in the process of developing English language assessments aligned with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels; A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, for listening, reading, speaking, and writing. When complete, I will be better equipped to assess my students’ needs for delivering level appropriate lessons, content, and assessments.
